Project SupperTime is an outreach of Northern Blvd United Methodist Church of Independence, MO.
Project SupperTime serves the working poor. The majority of our clientele have jobs but can’t make ends meet. This comes from multi-generational families living in the same household, a single mom with no other support to provide the necessities for her children or the elderly who’s retirement income doesn’t allow for all of their expenses. Regardless of the circumstances we believe everyone deserves God’s Grace. We are here to provide a couple of meals per week to help make their lives a little easier and for them to know they are not alone in their struggles.
We provide weekly donations on Thursday from 6-7:30pm. In the month of October 2016 we served 291 Adults between the ages of 18 and 64, we served 239 Children between the ages of 0 and 17 and we served 55 Seniors who are over 65.
We are not affiliated with Harvesters or any other large food distributor. We are able to provide our items through the generosity of donations.
With the holidays quickly approaching we are reaching out to the community for help as our shelves are bare.
If your organization or company is looking for a service project, we would welcome your items to help us make someone’s life a little easier.
We are always in need of paper products and personal hygiene items. Below is a short list of items that are in high demand:
Canned Soups: Cream of … or Chunky soups
Boxed sides: (Instant potatoes, Au-Gratin potatoes, Rice mixes, Flavored pastas)
Canned meat: Tuna, Salmon, Chicken, Ham
These are just examples, we appreciate whatever you decide to donate, and please nothing that is expired.
Please contact me with any questions. I have containers that look like soup cans that I can deliver to your facility to collect your items.
