Project SupperTime is an outreach of Northern Blvd United Methodist Church of Independence, MO.
Project Suppertime serves the working poor. The majority of our clientele have jobs but can’t make ends meet. This comes from multi-generational families living in the same household, a single mom with no other support to provide the necessities for her children or the elderly whose retirement income doesn’t allow for all of their expenses. Regardless of the circumstances we believe everyone deserves God’s Grace. We are here to provide a couple of meals per week to help make their lives a little easier and for them to know they are not alone in their struggles. In 2019, we provided groceries for almost 6000 people.
Our food pantry is open every Thursday from 5:30pm-7:30pm. During this period of social distancing we are working our best to keep everyone safe by providing a drive-thru style of pick up.
While we are Harvester’s affiliated, if your organization or company is looking for a service project, we would welcome your items to help us make someone’s life a little easier.
We are always in need of paper products and personal hygiene items. Below is a short list of items that are in high demand:
Canned Soups: Cream of … or Chunky soups
Boxed sides: (Instant potatoes, Au-Gratin potatoes, Rice mixes, Flavored pastas)
Canned meat: Tuna, Salmon, Chicken, Ham
These are just examples, we appreciate whatever you decide to donate, and please nothing that is expired.
Feel free to contact the Church Office if you have any questions.
